The new BDP-S is one of Sony's first 3D-ready Blu-ray players; by "3D-ready," I mean that it can't display 3D content out of the box but will. The controls are a unique hybrid between touch-sensitive buttons and standard physical buttons; there's no large button like on most players, but there are small nubs that give you physical feedback.
They strike a good balance between style and usability. The BDP-S's small nubs feel like a hybrid between touch-sensitive buttons and actual buttons.
The included remote is nearly identical to the one included with last year's Sony Blu-ray players, with one major exception--Sony's brought back the eject button. The rest of the layout is well-thought-out, too, with Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player directional pad falling easily under our thumb and play controls given their own area toward the bottom. While we like the idea of controlling the BDP-S with an iPhone, we didn't find the implementation very useful.
The idea is great, as there are quite a few times when we'd rather enter text using the iPhone's touch-keyboard instead of the standard remote via an onscreen keyboard. Unfortunately, the BD remote app's execution isn't quite right. It's an altogether more crisp and detailed image, too, and the 'S retains much of its sharpness during motion, although we reckon this is an area that will see further Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player in future generations of players.
Motion tracking is more solid when you switch to the standard Blu-ray of Green Zone, which is also afforded a perfectly judged colour palette and insight that the other players here can't quite bestow. Combined with Paul Greengrass' trademark gritty direction, these qualities equate to a vision of Iraq that has astonishing detail and realism. Fine DVD upscaling too When asked to upscale a standard-definition DVD, the 'S is Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player than happy to oblige with a nicely sharp and balanced picture.
True, it doesn't quite manage to find the very finest of details, but the overall stability and control of the picture is mighty impressive and it's as good as any of its three rivals Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player this test.
While researching, I found that many had problems streaming content and what not I just followed the steps to the letter and it works beautifully. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks seller and Ebay. Read full review by ponchatoulafami Aug 13, Great Sony Blu-Ray player I love the fact that this player has wi-fi installed on the player and you don't need a bridge or usb adapter to plug in.
Great features with the access directly online with a Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player TV and for me the Bravia benefits with all of my systems home stereo, tv and dvd player all synced together. The options on how the sound, video, picture etc is set up is very user friendly.
Just search on eBay and you will find some great bargains. I bought two different Sharp bluray players and they do not compare in speed of start up, loading of bluray movies and the wireless connection to the internet is just awesome.
